REFUND POLICY
Until January 15, 2002, Datarescue was the only data-recovery software vendor to offer refunds. They believed it was fair to provide a refund to customers if the Photorescue didn't perform well..
Since then it has become apparent that there are people who are dishonest enough to take advantage of this. The end result is a much stricter refund policy. In order to receive a refund after you've purchased Photorescue, purchasers will have to show that the fully licensed version of Photorescue does not perform the same as the demo version. Customers should have tried the free demo first. After all, it's free.
The demo version of Photorescue performs identically to the full version except that the "save all" function has been disabled.. If the demo version doesn't work for you, the full version will not work either.
If the demo version of Photorescue displays thumbnails of your photographs upon completing it's analysis of your flash card, the full version will recover them. If the demo version does not display thumbnails of your photographs, the full version will not recover your photos.
If the demo version works for you and the full version does not, then and only then will Datarescue issue a refund provided you can provide them with an image of the card that created the problem. When the technical team at Datarescue determines that the demo version and the full version don't behave identically on your card, they will authorize a refund. Images of cards can be created by both the full and demo version of Photorescue. Information on how to deliver them to Datarescue is available upon request.
Datarescue's refund policy does two things:
- By minimizing fraud, they keep the cost of the software low.
- By examining potentially troublesome card images, they make Photorescue better.
